Our 1/2 Marathon

Today we ran our first 1/2 marathon. I was smited with a cold two days before the race and so I was not feeling 100% ~ and it felt harder to me than I expected it to. On the brighter side, Ryan did great and thought it was easier than he had expected. I'd be willing to do another half, but I don't think my knees will allow me to do a full. It was a good experience and I'm sure I'll look back at it fondly when my knee pain subsides.

Arrow of Light

Bryce earned his arrow of light last night. They had him light the candles signifying the arrow of light, but it was pretty windy, so they gave him (a ten year old) a blow torch and let him go for it. All the boys thought it was the coolest and they're excited to get their arrows of light. I'm glad he can be such a good example.

Sleep like a baby

Yesterday was moving day for Halea. Her room isn't quite done, but I just couldn't handle one more night with her in our room. We all slept great last night, like the best sleep I've gotten since we brought her home from the hospital. She seems to be enjoying her new room. I found her and Parker both sitting in there together. I'm so happy!

Funny Story...

Funny Story: Quite a while ago, like when I was having Halea, my parents took all three boys so that I could rest up after giving birth. Parker came home with a funny little habit of peeing outside. He had stopped for a while, but during the construction we had to move the toilet outside. He freaked out a little bit when he realized there was just a hole where the toilet had been, but peed around the hole anyway. Then when he realized where the toilet had been moved (right outside the front door) he was thrilled to use the potty outside. GROSS! It's been quite a conversation piece when guests arrive.

The rest are some updated pictures of the remodel. The vinyl flooring is in and the carpet is being installed as we speak. Halea will be moving out today (across the hall). I can't wait!

Sofa Love

This is our new sofa. It's HUGE, but we have a big living room, so it's perfect. Our whole family can fit on it and lounge comfortably. It's the greatest!!!
