Needy People

I'm not going to name any names, but someone in my life has been complaining about my lack of support for them. I guess that "someone", we'll call him "Bryan" has forgotten that I have a lot on my plate. "Bryan", neglects to see how hard it is to be smiley/supportive in the morning when three of my four children have woken me throughout the night for various reasons, and I feel like crap, but have SEVERAL other needy people to take care of ahead of him. So, "Bryan", today is not your day, and tomorrow is not looking good either.

Zumba Demo

I was on TV this morning for a zumba demo with my very good zumba friends. It was a lot of fun!

The job (yob) goes on...

Today we are starting the texturing and painting process on the walls. It's supposed to take a week or so. After that we will have the flooring put in and I have no idea how long that will take. Sometimes it seems like this job will never end! But I know bit by bit it's getting done and I'm counting down the days until I can move Halea to her own room, and move the food from the great wall of food to the new pantry, move all the coats and book shelf that's in our room back out to the hallway. I just don't know how many days I'm counting down.

Cold

Everyone in the family has a cold right now, including Ryan's mom. She's been breathing really heavily the last few days and it finally dawned on me last night at 3:45am, when I was up with my own sore throat, that she has a cold. So this morning I went in and found that she was drenched in sweat, and had a fever of 103.5 ~ not good. I put my nursing knowledge to work and gave her a double dose of an albuterol treatment I had leftover from the kids. I also gave her a tylenol suppository because she's not swallowing very well. Ryan is taking her suffering very hard, so I felt like I needed to step it up with extra comfort measures. If it is her time to go I want it to be as pleasant for her and Ryan as possible.
